  • Do you need a UCI license to participate in the Saturday UCI Qualifier?

    For the September 12th race, you only need a license if you are racing ​in the Elite​ category. Otherwise,​ and for Age Group categories, you can purchase a one-day license, which includes medical insurance.

  • What are the Age Group categories for the Sunday 13th race?

    Elite Women and Age Groups up to 49 ride the 145km, over 50 the 85km.
    Elite Men and Age Groups up to 59 ride the 145km, over 60 the 85km

  • Do I need to start in my Age Group category for the NGS 2026 classification?

    Yes, you can only score points for your Age Group category when riding in the correct category.

  • What type of bike are allowed

    Our events allow any type of bikes that are able to handle the gravel roads and forest roads terrain. In general we recommend a tyre width of 35mm and more. Besides the recommended gravel/cyclocross bikes we allow mountainbikes, hybrid bikes and e-bikes. Road bikes with 28c or less tires are not allowed. E-bikes are not allowed during the September 12th UCI Qualifier (Saturday)

  • Registration Terms & Conditions 2026

    • Regular event registration pricing applies until 30 days prior to the event

    • Late decider pricing (+20%) until 7 days before the event

    • Registration transfer to other participant until 7 days prior to the event

    • No personal event registration deferral to other event in the series accepted, medical certificates are not accepted as exemption.

    • A cancellation insurance is available in the registration process, NGS does not provide refunds. Medical certificates are not accepted for refunds, in case you have a club license these should be handled with your cycling club.

    • Sports voucher payments are available until 30 days prior to the event (ePassi - Smartum - Edenred) - see below on how to use your sports vouchers

    • Sports voucher payments can only be used for event registrations and are not accepted for accommodation, shuttle services, bike rentals or merchandise/apparel.

    • If you want to participate in the NGS2026 Season Classification you should register in your according race category/distance. If you want to ride a longer or shorter distance you are placed in the Open Category.

    HOW DO I PAY MY REGISTRATION WITH EDENRED / SMARTUM / E-PASSI  VOUCHERS OR CREDIT? (FINLAND ONLY)

    Register for the event of choice on our Race ID registration pages and submit one of the following codes in the coupon code field

    EPASSI26 / EDENRED26 / SMARTUM26

    In your e-Voucher app you search for Breakaway cc / Nordic Gravel Series and transfer the amount of your registration(s) fee(s). Upon receiving your Edenred / e-Passi / Smartum payment we will match your payment against the registration(s). This option is only available in Finland. E-vouchers can only be used for event registrations, not for any other event services.

    Note that registrations with e-vouchers can be transferred (online) to another person but are non-refundable. E-voucher registrations are accepted until 30 days before the event. E-voucher payments need to made in full in one payment (no multiple payments for one registration).

    I would like to defer my registration?

    From 2024 onwards we no longer accept deferrals of registrations. A cancellation insurance is available in the registration process and can be used to obtain a refund of your registration in case needed.

    What happens if the event is cancelled due to COVID-19?

    If the local authorities prohibit an event taking place because of the covid-19 pandemic, or the event organizer decides the overall health of participants is at risk and cancels/postpones the event, you are automatically registered for the same event during the following season at no extra cost.
